Terms of Service

By creating an account, posting a request, submitting a quote, or otherwise using BuildBid, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you are using the Service on behalf of a company, you represent that you are authorized to bind that company to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

You must register for an account to use most features. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep it up to date. You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use. Accounts are intended for business use by contractors and suppliers; you must be at least 18 years old to register.

BuildBid uses a sealed-quote model: suppliers submit quotes in response to a contractor’s material request without seeing competing suppliers’ prices. You agree to submit quotes and requests in good faith. A quote is a genuine offer to supply on the stated terms for the stated period; a contractor’s award of a quote indicates intent to proceed.

BuildBid is a venue that facilitates these interactions. We are not a party to any agreement reached between contractors and suppliers and do not guarantee that any request will receive quotes, that any quote will be awarded, or that any awarded order will be fulfilled. Pricing, scope, delivery, and payment terms are between the contractor and supplier.

You agree not to:

• post false, misleading, or fraudulent requests, quotes, or listings;
• attempt to view, intercept, or manipulate sealed quotes outside the intended flow;
• collude with other users to fix prices or rig the bidding process;
• harass, threaten, or defame other users, or post unlawful or infringing content;
• scrape, reverse-engineer, overload, or disrupt the Service or circumvent its security; or
• use the Service in violation of applicable Philippine law.

We may remove content and suspend accounts that violate these rules.

BuildBid is currently in a pilot phase. During the pilot, use of the Service is free and we do not process payments between contractors and suppliers; payment for materials and services is arranged and settled directly between the parties. We may introduce fees, listing charges, or transaction features in the future. If we do, we will give reasonable advance notice and update these Terms before any fees apply to you.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not verify or endorse any user, request, quote, product, or transaction, and we do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. You use the Service and rely on other users at your own risk.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BuildBid and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service. This includes disputes over quotes, orders, deliveries, quality, or non-payment between contractors and suppliers, which are matters between those parties.

You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access, with or without notice, if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service or its users. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including Acceptable Use, Disclaimers, and Limitation of Liability — will survive.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
